Thailand is an important automotive exporting country in the world. Thailand has the largest automotive assembly capacity and parts production capacity in the ASEAN region, and is also the number one pillar industry in Thailand, while Thailand is also the fifth largest automotive market in the world. Supporting industries related to automobiles are booming.

In recent years, due to Thailand's own automotive manufacturing needs and environment, and as a major producer of natural rubber, the Thai government also strongly encourages foreign investors to invest in Thailand to build factories. The unique conditions have attracted large enterprises in China's rubber industry to build factories in Thailand.
